U-M contributes over $32M to Ann Arbor, local communities

The University of Michigan provided more than $32 million in financial support to the city of Ann Arbor in fiscal year 2025, averaging $22.8 million annually over the past five years, underscoring the university’s long-standing commitment to the community. This is in addition to investments in other area communities.

New Report Highlights $226.7 Million Visitor Impact of U-M Football

According to the report, the 2024 U-M football season generated $226.7 million in direct visitor spending from attendees residing outside Washtenaw County. On average, each home game contributed approximately $28 million in direct visitor spending to the local economy.

U-M Congressional Breakfast raises record $125k for scholarships

The 74th annual U-M Congressional Breakfast raised a record $125,000 for the Samuel L. Chappell Family Scholarship, marking the largest amount in its seven-decade history.

The March 12 event saw the largest gathering of attendees, supporting the U-M Alumni Club of Washington, D.C.’s need-based scholarship program that assists students from the Washington, D.C., area attend U-M.
